Plan Your Visit
What to expect when visiting Greenville Nazarene
A New Church Is Hard
Visiting a new church is always stressful.
What if I am not wearing the right clothes?
What songs are they going to sing?
Can I bring coffee into the sanctuary?
At Greenville Nazarene, we want you to connect to God. You don't have to have it all figured out with a perfect life before you visit. In fact, none of us here at Greenville Nazarene have a perfect life, or have it all figured out. We are seeking God together, and we are all still growing and learning.
The dress is casual, but you won't find anything casual about how we feel about worshiping Jesus. You will be greeted by friendly and outgoing faces, and meet people who are interested in the REAL YOU, not just wanting to shake your hand and share pleasantries.
In a typical Sunday Worship Service (10:45am)...
- Message - Pastor Sarah (or a guest Pastor) will share What God laid on their heart at the beginning of service
- Songs - our way to praise God as a community with our voices
- Greeting time - we say "hi" to each other, you may meet someone new but we promise they will be nice
- Offering - we collect money to help our church do it's mission of build the body of Christ and blessing the community
- Prayer - we believe in prayer and take time at the end of service to take what is on our hearts to God
Kids Corner - We believe in Family Worshiping together, but understand little ones may not enjoy every aspect of our service, we have a special "kids corner" for our younger worshipers to play in as they would like. We also welcome children to join the praise team on stage if they hear a song they like. We enjoy hearing children in our service and encourage parents/grandparents to bring even the smallest worshipers to be a part of our service.
And YES! You can bring in your coffee/snacks. Just be prepared to share ;-)
